Michael Turner was born and raised in Taylor, Michigan. He graduated magna cum laude from Occidental College, a liberal arts college in Los Angeles, California, receiving a degree in Comparative Literature and Philosophy. He then received a scholarship to attend the University of Michigan Law School and graduated in 2024. Among other activities, Michael was a research assistant, served as a board member of the First Generation Law Students' association in various capacities, and represented clients experiencing poverty in proceedings before the IRS.
After law school, Michael refined his research and advocacy skills practicing complex commercial litigation at a law firm in New York City. But amidst the travels, Detroit and Michigan were never far from his mind or heart.
Michael joins Marko Law as a Research and Appeals Attorney. He is excited to learn from the accomplished professionals at the Firm and deliver justice to individuals across the state who have been harmed by negligent or malicious actors. Outside of his practice, Michael is passionate about hospitality, Classic and Modern Literature, and Detroit sports.
