Detroit Resources
Emergency shelter, meals, addiction treatment and transitional housing for men, women and families in Detroit, with a dedicated shelter line and an addiction helpline.
DRMM is one of the oldest and largest shelter and recovery providers in Detroit, operating since 1909. It runs emergency shelters, substance use treatment and longer-term housing programs across several Detroit sites.
When a crisis leaves you without a place to sleep tonight, DRMM has a direct shelter number and does not require a referral to call. Its addiction helpline is a separate door for anyone ready for treatment.
Call the shelter line before you go, since beds and locations vary. The Stimson Street address is the main office, not every shelter site. Services are offered in a Christian setting, but help is not conditioned on faith.
A faith-based nonprofit that serves anyone in need of shelter or recovery services; programs have their own intake rules, so call first.
