Detroit Resources
Low-cost immigration legal consultations with attorneys and DOJ accredited representatives in Midtown Detroit, covering citizenship, family petitions, DACA, TPS, VAWA, U and T visas, plus English and citizenship classes.
IIMD has welcomed newcomers to Detroit since 1919 from its building next to the Detroit Institute of Arts. Its legal department offers scheduled consultations, and the Institute also runs ESL, citizenship and cultural programs.
Many immigrants hurt in an accident or facing a legal problem also have a pending or future immigration step. IIMD gives affordable, accredited advice so one problem does not quietly damage the other.
Book by calling ext. 234 or using the online form; walk-ins are not seen. Bring $50 cash or check for the first visit. If you are petitioning for a spouse, both of you must attend the first consultation.
Serves anyone with an emphasis on under-represented families; charges a $50 initial consultation and nominal fees, and does not handle employment-based immigration.
